Breitling – Eric Tabarly Quartz Ref. 80770 circa 1980
This rare model, reference 80770, was born from an exclusive collaboration between the Swiss watchmaker Breitling and Éric Tabarly, one of France’s most iconic navigators. Produced in 1985, it reflects Breitling’s sporting elegance and maritime heritage. With its distinctive design, this watch embodies exploration, Swiss precision, and a deep passion for the sea.
Its steel case is 35mm and with an integrated bracelet reminiscent of the Royal Oak. Beneath the sapphire crystal lies a deep black glossy dial, accented with tritium-painted hands and markers. A silver Breitling logo and crosshair, painted on the underside of the crystal, add unique visual depth. A unidirectional rotating compass bezel supports navigation and wind tracking, while the screw-down crown enhances water resistance—true to its maritime purpose.
