Cartier Santos Galbée Ref. 2319 Full Set From 2005
Created in 1904 for the aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, the Santos is widely regarded as one of the world’s first purpose-built wristwatches. Its square case, exposed bezel screws and integrated steel bracelet remain among the most recognisable designs in watchmaking. Launched in 1987, the Galbée generation softened the lines of the case, with a curved profile that sits more comfortably on the wrist.
This reference 2319, produced in 2005, is housed in a 29 x 41mm stainless steel case with its matching steel bracelet. The silver dial features a fine guilloché finish, known as flinqué, with Roman numerals and blued steel hands, a classic Cartier composition that remains elegant and highly legible. The crown is set with a blue cabochon, a signature detail of the house.
At its core is the automatic Cartier calibre 120, serviced by our watchmaker, offering the everyday ease of self-winding in a dress watch of timeless proportions.
Complete as a full set, with its original box, papers and full links, this Santos combines iconic design, refined finishing and full documentation.
