Vacheron Constantin Vintage Ref. 6903 Circa 1970

Founded in 1755, Vacheron Constantin is the oldest watch manufacture in continuous operation, and the reference 6903 shows the house at its most understated: a thin, round dress watch with a clean and minimal design.

Produced circa 1970, this example is housed in a 34mm stainless steel case, a choice less often seen on this reference, which is more commonly found in 18k gold. The case is in good condition, with only the light signs of wear that come with age. The silver dial is original and well preserved, without notable marks, signed with the applied Maltese cross at twelve o’clock, the emblem of the manufacture, and the crown carries the same signature.

At its core is the manually wound calibre K1002/2, serviced by our watchmaker, an 18-jewel ultra-thin movement finished with Geneva stripes and anglage on the bridges, the kind of hand finishing that defines Vacheron Constantin’s craftsmanship.

An understated Vacheron Constantin in very nice condition, where the quality lies in the proportions, the preserved dial and the finishing of its movement.
