Website Presentation and Operating Model
The Journey Collection website presents a curated selection of watches available for sale, recently sold pieces, as well as a gallery of visual and editorial content related to the world of fine watchmaking.
Journey Collection is not a traditional e-commerce website. No transactions are carried out directly online. Any purchase request must be made exclusively through direct contact via the website contact form, by email, via WhatsApp, or through Instagram, specifying the reference of the watch concerned.
This operating model allows Journey Collection to offer a highly personalized service, direct communication, and increased flexibility regarding pricing, availability, and shipping arrangements.
Purchase Process
Following initial contact, Journey Collection confirms the availability of the watch, the final sale price, and the applicable shipping conditions.
An invoice is then issued and sent by email. Payment must be made within 48 hours from the date of issuance of the invoice, unless otherwise agreed in advance.
The watch is shipped only after full receipt of payment.
Journey Collection reserves the right to cancel any transaction in the event of non-payment within the agreed timeframe or in case of doubt regarding the origin of the funds.
Nature of the Watches Offered
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the watches offered by Journey Collection are vintage or pre-owned timepieces.
Due to their nature, these watches may show signs of wear, patina, or mechanical tolerances consistent with their age and history. Such characteristics do not constitute defects and are inherent to vintage or previously worn watches.
Photographs, descriptions, and information presented on the website are provided for informational purposes only and have no contractual value.
Artworks and Mechanical Drawings
Journey Collection also offers works of art, including original mechanical drawings.
Each artwork is an original creation produced using a pen-plotter, following an artistic process controlled by the artist. As such, variations, irregularities, or differences in line work, tone, or texture may occur due to the artistic process and medium used. These characteristics do not constitute defects.
Photographs and visuals displayed on the website are provided for illustrative purposes only. Variations may exist between the image displayed on screen and the artwork delivered.
All artworks are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity issued by the artist.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, artworks are neither returnable nor exchangeable once the sale has been confirmed and payment has been made.
The acquisition of an artwork does not entail any transfer of intellectual property or reproduction rights. Copyright remains the exclusive property of the artist, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Artworks are not covered by any warranty other than that of authenticity.
Authenticity and Warranty
Journey Collection guarantees the authenticity of each watch offered for sale.
Any information regarding replaced, modified, or non-original components is disclosed transparently.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, watches are covered by a one-year mechanical warranty, excluding water-resistance.
The warranty does not cover:
· normal wear and tear,
· damage resulting from impact or improper handling,
· interventions carried out by unauthorized third parties,
· failure to comply with maintenance recommendations.
No Right of Withdrawal
As sales are concluded on the basis of personalized exchanges and an explicit agreement between the parties, no right of withdrawal applies once the sale has been confirmed and the invoice paid.
Reservation and Deposit
In order to reserve a watch, a deposit corresponding to at least 10% of the agreed sale price may be required.
This deposit is non-refundable, as the watch is removed from the market and reserved exclusively for the buyer.
The deposit amount is deducted from the final sale price.
Payment Methods
Journey Collection accepts payment by bank transfer in Swiss francs (CHF).
All payments must be made exclusively in Swiss francs. Any bank fees or currency conversion fees applied by the buyer’s bank remain the responsibility of the buyer.
Cash payments in Swiss francs (CHF) may be accepted exclusively by appointment and in strict compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Retention of Title
The watch remains the property of Journey Collection until full payment of the agreed price has been received.
Shipping Conditions
Shipping arrangements are defined on a case-by-case basis with the client at the time of sale confirmation.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, shipping costs are borne by the buyer, while Journey Collection covers insurance for the shipment during transit.
Delivery times generally range between 2 and 10 business days, depending on the destination country.
The indicated delivery times do not take into account potential customs clearance procedures. Any taxes, customs duties, or local formalities are the responsibility of the buyer.
Journey Collection cannot be held liable for delays or holds attributable to customs authorities.
Limitation of Liability
Journey Collection shall not be held liable for any indirect damage, financial loss, or prejudice resulting from the use of the watch after delivery.
Refusal or Cancellation of Sale
Journey Collection reserves the right to refuse or cancel any sale in the event of doubt regarding the buyer’s identity, the origin of funds, or compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by Swiss law.
In the event of a dispute, exclusive jurisdiction lies in Switzerland, at the registered seat of Journey Collection, subject to mandatory legal provisions.
