Cartier Must De Tank Vermeil Blue

Introduced as part of Cartier’s Must de Cartier collection, the Tank Must made the timeless design of the Tank accessible to a wider audience, while preserving the aesthetic codes that had defined the model for decades.

Produced in the mid-1980s, this example features a 20 x 28mm case in silver, plated with gold (vermeil), paired with the signature blue cabochon crown. The dial is finished in a blue lacquer evoking lapis lazuli, one of the most sought-after dial variations of the Must de Cartier line, its color set against the warmth of the gold-plated case and gold-tone hands. The lacquer shows very fine cracks and the mineral crystal some fine surface marks, both consistent with the watch’s age.

The watch retains its original Cartier buckle.

At its core is a manually wound mechanical movement, a fitting heart for a dress watch of such classic proportions.

Combining iconic design, vermeil craftsmanship and a distinctive blue dial, this Tank Must remains a timeless expression of Cartier’s vision of elegance.
