Omega Seamaster 120m Jacques Mayol Ref. 396.0900 Circa 1981

In 1981, legendary free diver Jacques Mayol reached a world record depth of 101 metres off the coast of Elba Island. Lasting 3 minutes and 10 seconds, the dive was timed by an Omega Seamaster 120, forever linking this reference to one of the defining achievements in the history of free diving.

Produced that same year, this Seamaster 120 reflects a generation of diving watches that embraced a cleaner and more contemporary approach to underwater exploration.

Its 37mm stainless steel case combines sharp lines with everyday versatility. The slim profile, paired with its semi screw-down crown, gives the watch a unique balance between tool-watch functionality and understated elegance. The black unidirectional bezel and highly legible dial remain faithful to the Seamaster’s functional roots.

Preserved in remarkable condition, the bezel remains exceptionally crisp, while the dial is free from visible imperfections. The watch retains its original hands and tritium, both beautifully preserved.

At its core is the Omega quartz calibre 1337, a reliable and precise movement representative of a period when electronic innovation was reshaping Swiss watchmaking.

A watch born from the pursuit of performance, yet refined enough for everyday wear, the Seamaster 120 remains one of the most distinctive expressions of Omega’s diving heritage.
