Universal Genève Polerouter Date Ref. 204503-3 Circa 1960

Introduced in 1958, the Polerouter was developed for Scandinavian Airlines System to withstand the magnetic fields encountered on polar flights, a functional response that became an icon, shaped in its early design by Gérald Genta.

This reference 2045103-3 features a 35.5mm steel case with twisted lugs, defining the distinctive silhouette of the model. The matte white crosshair dial has turned cream through patina. It is signed with an applied shield “U” logo, a date at 3 o’clock, and “Swiss” only at the base.

Original tritium plots are preserved, contrasting with the sharp dauphine hands with original lume. The watch retains its signed crystal with central “U” and loupe, original domed crown, and a screw-down caseback.

At its core is the automatic micro-rotor calibre UG 215-1, beating at 18,000 A/h, a refined and technically advanced construction for its time. The movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.

A design born from function, now standing as a timeless expression of mid-century watchmaking.
